SALT SESSIONS

We offer small group training classes and sessions. These are complimented by individually crafted assessments, coupled with bespoke wellbeing journeys and bootcamp-style training programmes, for total beginners, through to elite athletes. Offering bespoke pay-to-train fitness for every body, join sessions as you choose, simply email us to buy credits and book classes. Sessions run from dawn to dusk.

Kieran and Simon are here to put you through your paces with an intense workout - SALT Sculpt - a mix of cardio, strength and conditioning using our treasure chest of equipment including the battle ropes, kettlebells, power ball, TRX and much more. SALT Sculpt is designed to drive maximum results, you'll keep your fitness up and continue to reach for those goals.

We're keeping our boutique approach to fitness, so sessions will be for 4 people, max.

Designed to keep you moving, this fast paced VersaClimber class blends exercise with heart-thumping bass beats. Climb to the summit, smash it. Upright, you control the resistance.

Our 45 minute climbs burn more calories than any other burner in the gym, by a mile. Climbers scale dizzy heights daily, against a backdrop of amazing playlists. Zero impact, maximum sweat.

In this high intensity, circuit style, resistance training class you'll master strength building techniques on the Keiser kit. Mainstream cables, pins and plates are gone, so gravity won't slow you down in this 45 minute small group session.

Build strength, tone and continually push your limits, without punishing your muscles and joints.

Hit the gym floor for some freestyle fitness where you call the shots. Discover kit from Technogym and Keiser. Keiser relentlessly pursue solutions that push the limits of fitness science. Mainstream cables, pins & plates are gone, so gravity won't slow you down.

Then there's our treasure chest of specialist kit - handpicked for conditioning and mobility: Plyometric box, boxing bags and pads, suspension trainers for whole body balance, strength & conditioning, power bags (varying weights)...and some other surprises to keep your workouts fresh and the body guessing!

There are no classes on Sundays but SALT Freestyle sessions are available to book from 10:00am to 6:00pm (60min slots)

 

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT

All you need to know...

Please call 01271 872102 or email [email protected] to book, stating your name, date, class or session and time you would like to attend. Sessions/classes can be booked guests staying in the hotel, as well as those who aren't.

You will receive an email confirming your place in the class/session.
Bookings can only be made up to two weeks in advance.

1 CLASS / SESSION = 1 CREDIT

Time on the gym floor (SALT Freestyle) can be booked as a 60-minute slot. Please advise what time you would like, and be sure to arrive promptly.

A toilet will be available, but no lockers or showers will be available unless booked before your class/session (in line with social distancing precautions). Please include this in your booking email if required.

If you have been to one of our sessions before, you just need to be ready, outside either the studio (Bass Climb &  Freestyle) or the tennis courts (SALT Outdoors) 5 minutes before each session. Our instructors will check you in using an iPad. If this is your first SALT experience, please arrive 10 minutes early.

If you bail out with less than 12 hours' notice, or bottle it and no-show, you will lose your session fee (unless Covid-related, in which case we will refund your credit). All sessions can be booked and cancelled by emailing [email protected] or calling 01271 872102.

A toilet will be available, but no lockers or showers will be available unless booked before your class/session (in line with social distancing precautions). Please include this in your booking email if required.

 

Hydrate before, during and after your session. If joining us for a Climb, it can take several sessions to get acclimatise to the Versaclimber, so take breaks when you need them.

Bring a recycled water tank and we'll fill you up.

If joining a SALT Outdoors session, please bring your own water.

Eat at least 1 hour before your session, no later.

A good pair of trainers are a must. Otherwise, wear your own style, there are no rules.

All our small group training sessions are high-intensity, so make sure you consult a doctor before you train with us.

If you are vulnerable to flashing lights and loud music, or find it disorientating in low light, SALT may not be the right environment for you.

Please use the water holders provided and keep walkways clear of obstructions at all times.

If at any time you feel light-headed or dizzy, please raise your hand for assistance.

We are acutely aware of the upheaval to our everyday lives that we have all experienced in some way, it is with that in mind we must all face some changes and make adjustments.

You'll spot lots of slick new hand sanitiser stations - please use these frequently. Please also be sure to respect social distancing guidelines  (1 metre plus), and we'll do the same.

We'll be carrying out zero-contact temperature checks before each session begins.

If you have been before, please arrive no more than 5 mins before your session or class to avoid overcrowding. If you are new and this is your first SALT experience, please arrive 10 mins before your session or class.

SALT Gymnasia will be operating with reduced capacity, but our SALT Squad will monitor things closely and we'll always do our best to make sure we have enough sessions to fulfill your appetite for fitness.
