SALT SESSIONS

Our approach & prices

We offer small group training classes and sessions. They run daily, from dawn to dusk. We use MyZone to track our effort (optional) and earn rewards.

Relax, we are committed to bespoke pay-to-train fitness, so no membership is required.

Simply log in or sign-up to buy your credit bundle or drop-in pass, and book your sessions. We recommend booking early; waitlists are available for popular sessions.

Perfect if you’re new to SALT, just want a quick SALT hit to top up your fitness routine, or if you are staying with us.

Hosted in The Ballroom, these 1-hour sessions balance strength and mobility. They greatly support and enhance any activities you do in SALT. Whether you’re seeking elite status, or just to feel good, Pilates will positively enhance your lifestyle.

This pass allows you unlimited freestyle sessions on the gym floor from 8am ’til close, daily.

THE JOURNEY CONTINUES…

 

We are proud to announce that a member of our SALT Team is running their second marathon on 24th September 2023, in Berlin.

With the ambition to earn marathon running’s greatest prize: the Six Star Medal from Abbott World Marathon Majors, this is the second epic stepping stone in their journey of running all six major marathons – London (April 2023 – completed!), Tokyo, Boston, Chicago and New York.

Keeping a low profile, we won’t reveal the identity of our special squad member here (…but if you know you know!) Running all six marathons to raise money for The Alzheimer’s Society, which is a cause close to their heart, please support the mission by sponsoring our SALT member:

 

HOW WE TRAIN

Our sessions, explained…

BASS CLIMB

45 MINUTES

Designed to keep you moving, these fast paced VersaClimber classes blend exercise with heart-thumping bass beats. Climb to the summit, smash it. Upright, you control the resistance.

Our 45 minute climbs burn more calories than any other burner in the gym, by a mile. Climbers scale dizzy heights daily, against a backdrop of amazing playlists. Zero impact, maximum sweat.

SALT BOOTCAMP

45 MINUTES

Putting you through your paces with a 45-minute workout.

SALT Bootcamp is a mix of cardio, strength, and conditioning using our treasure chest of equipment including the battle ropes, kettlebells, power ball, TRX, and much more.

KEISER S & C

45 MINUTES

Keiser Strength & Conditioning: these innovative sessions feature exercises designed to build power, strength, endurance, and mobility. Suitable for all levels of fitness, these small group sessions will be adapted for your needs.

We’ll be using the Keiser kit on the SALT floor, alongside a treasure chest of equipment and some body weight exercises to get your heart rate up for some added cardio. Keiser: because ‘good enough’ isn’t.

KEISER KRUSH

45 MINUTES

In this high intensity, circuit style, resistance training class you’ll master strength building techniques on the Keiser kit. Mainstream cables, pins and plates are gone, so gravity won’t slow you down in this 45 minute small group session.

Build strength, tone and continually push your limits, without punishing your muscles and joints.

BEGINNER CLIMB

30 MINUTES

Embark on an exciting new fitness journey with our Beginner VersaClimber class, expertly led by Elena.

It’s time to push your limits to new heights. Whether you are an absolute fitness beginner or a seasoned climber, this entry level class is designed to harness and hone your confidence on our unique VersaClimber machines.

PILATES POWER FLOW

60 MINUTES

In this session you’ll focus on developing strength and releasing tension physically and mentally, improving your posture, strengthening your core, improving joint mobility and re-balancing the whole body. Simply bring water and a towel – mats are provided (or you can bring your own).

During good weather, these classes will be held on our landscaped lawns. On rainy/colder days, these classes will be held on The Ballroom Balcony.

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT

Your commitment matters

Joining our SALT community is easier than ever. We use a system called ‘TeamUp’ to book sessions. You can create a profile, buy credits, view our timetable, book sessions and amend your bookings above.

Booking is required for SALT sessions but you do not need to book to join us on the gym floor. If you are not staying with us but you want to hit the gym floor, a Freestyle Gym Pass is your best option. Simply pop in, call 01271 872102, or email [email protected]. You will receive an access card valid for 7 days.

Indoor sessions:

If you have been to one of our sessions before, you just need to be ready, outside the studio 5 minutes before each session. Our instructors will check you in using an iPad. If this is your first SALT experience, please arrive 10 minutes early.

Outdoor sessions:

If you are joining  us for SALT Outdoors, Yoga or Pilates, we will meet 5 minutes before session on the lawns or by tennis court (no earlier). Please bring water and 1 towel for laying on (or a mat – mats are provided for yoga and pilates), and the another towel to mop your sweat.

If you bail out with less than 12 hours’ notice, or bottle it and no-show, you will lose your session fee. All sessions can be booked and cancelled by logging into your TeamUp account.

Hydrate before, during and after your session. If joining us for a Climb, it can take several sessions to get acclimatise to the Versaclimber, so take breaks when you need them.

Bring a recycled water tank and we’ll fill you up.

If joining a SALT Outdoors session, please bring your own water.

Eat at least 1 hour before your session, no later.

A good pair of trainers are a must. Otherwise, wear your own style, there are no rules.

A toilet will be available, but no lockers or showers will be available unless booked before your class/session (in line with social distancing precautions).

All our small group training sessions are high-intensity, so make sure you consult a doctor before you train with us.

If you are vulnerable to flashing lights and loud music, or find it disorientating in low light, SALT may not be the right environment for you.

Please use the water holders provided and keep walkways clear of obstructions at all times.

If at any time you feel light-headed or dizzy, please raise your hand for assistance.
